Enable Connectivity on myTeslaMate: Secure Access to MQTT and TeslaMateAPI

MyTeslaMate now allows all users to enable connectivity directly from their instance. This new feature makes it possible to securely expose two important services: MQTT and the TeslaMateAPI. Activating these services expands what you can do with TeslaMate, improves integration options, and enables real-time data interactions.

Secure MQTT Access

You can now activate a fully secured MQTT broker on your instance. This allows you to:

• receive real-time Tesla data,
• build custom automation workflows,
• connect myTeslaMate with dashboards or external applications.

Secure TeslaMateAPI Access

The TeslaMateAPI can also be exposed securely. This makes it possible to:

• integrate with third-party tools and services,
• build advanced dashboards and analytics,
• access your TeslaMate data programmatically.

Choose the TeslaMateAPI Image That Matches Your Platform

myTeslaMate gives you full control over which Docker image is used for the TeslaMateAPI. Depending on your setup, you can select the image that best fits your environment:

• HedgieMate: tobiasehlert/teslamateapi:latest
• mytesla.cc: mytesla/teslamateapi:latest

Simple and Secure Setup

Enabling connectivity only requires entering your:

• TeslaMate API endpoint,
• API access token,
• MQTT host, port, username, and password.
