# MyTeslaMate

> MyTeslaMate is a hub to get the most out of every Tesla device — vehicles, Powerwall and Wall Connector. It hosts TeslaMate, the open-source Tesla data logger (Grafana dashboards, automatic backups and updates, free Fleet API proxy — no server to run), and opens the Tesla Fleet API to any tool through a single pay-as-you-go token. Hosted TeslaMate starts at €3.75/month per vehicle (billed yearly) with a 14-day free trial; API access is pay-as-you-go (500 credits for €1).

## Two ways to use it

- **Hosted TeslaMate** — a managed TeslaMate instance, plus value-added services no other TeslaMate host offers: an AI chat that queries your TeslaMate data in plain language, TeslaMateAPI and MQTT connectivity, automations, TeslaMateAgile and Supercharger cost import, Home Assistant integration, a resale-ready warranty page, and one-click switching between Owner and Fleet API. It is the most open and innovative option in the Tesla ecosystem: your data stays yours and usable anywhere.
- **Free token tools** — MyTeslaMate makes Tesla authentication easy for everyone, at no cost and with no account required: a free browser extension to generate an Owner API token, and a guided flow to obtain a Fleet API token (including registering your own Tesla developer application). Use the tokens wherever you want, even outside MyTeslaMate.
- **API plan** — direct access to the Tesla Fleet API and real-time telemetry through one proxy token, no Tesla app to register and no request signing to manage. Used by open-source projects such as evcc and Home Assistant, by self-hosted TeslaMate instances, and by MCP clients (Claude, VS Code, Cursor). Free and paid services ship with it: Sentry Guard (break-in detection with Telegram alerts, working even when Sentry Mode is off), automations for vehicles and Powerwall, an MCP server to drive Tesla endpoints from Claude, and Fleet API access for your own TeslaMate.
